If you are the owner of had seen one of this posters you immediately notice that the quality is far superior because the thickness of the paper tolerates heavier paint. The painting doesn't crack as often as in thin paper making the poster more resistant. Remember that these posters were hang for public viewing and while the paper posters will rip and break in a Cuban rainy day, these cardboard poster will last much more rain than the others. The best designs were the ones ended up printed on cardboard. Suddenly by the end of the 80's, ICAIC returned to their thin paper posters again. Each batch was processed by the Cuban government entity Registro Nacional de Bienes Culturales de la República de Cuba that dates from 1998 to 2012 under my name and my husband’s name as permits to take the posters to the United States. I have links in my webpage with pictures of many of the receipts as proof of provenance. During more than 20 years I befriended many of the artists and collectors, read every book and article I could have my hands on and acquired the knowledge to stand by the authenticity of my collection.
