Careless handling and poor storage of\nthe posters also contributed to their condition. It is very difficult to find an original poster from the 60's and 70's. And almost impossible to find it in pristine condition. In the majority of titles, only small editions were printed and except for a selected group of collectors, most people disposed of them by dressing walls or recycling. Each batch was processed by the Cuban government entity Registro Nacional de Bienes Culturales de la República de Cuba that dates from 1998 to 2012 under my name and my husband’s name as permits to take the posters to the United States. I have links in my webpage with pictures of many of the receipts as proof of provenance. During more than 20 years I befriended many of the artists and collectors, read every book and article I could have my hands on and acquired the knowledge to stand by the authenticity of my collection.
