Original Cuban posters have become highly collectible worldwide.They were made in small batches and many were lost to insects and humidity or simply discarded or recycled by the government. Due to their scarcity, many designs are now being reproduced. I sell only original first edition vintage Cuban posters — no reproductions, ever.
Each poster is carefully packed using protective tissue paper and a double heavy-duty mailing tube to help ensure safe delivery and protect the edges in transit.

Provenance & Authenticity
This original Cuban poster comes from a family collection begun in 1973 by my husband’s grandmother in Havana. Between 1998 and 2012, we carefully brought the collection to the United States in small, legally authorized batches due to Cuban and U.S. government regulations on the export of cultural property. Each group of posters was officially processed through the Registro Nacional de Bienes Culturales de la República de Cuba under permits issued in both my name or my husband’s name. The documentation dates from 1998–2012 and confirms legal export from Cuba.
Over the past 20+ years, I have built close relationships with artists and collectors, studied the history of Cuban graphic and poster design extensively, and developed the expertise to confidently stand behind the authenticity of every piece I offer.
Your purchase will include a signed Certificate of Authenticity issued by my gallery Art of Cuba.
We take very seriously the packing of our original posters. To mail it to you, we first roll it around a large tube and covered with tissue paper to secure the ends. Then we put it inside a wider shipping tube to prevent damage to the edges and the poster never touch the walls of the tube.

This original poster belongs to a collection that was started by my husband’s grandmother in 1973 and it was brought by us to the Unites States from 1998 to 2012 in small batches, due to Cuban and U.S government restrictions on importing or exporting art from the island. Each batch was processed by the Cuban government entity Registro Nacional de Bienes Culturales de la República de Cuba that dates from 1998 to 2012 under my name and my husband’s name as permits to take the posters to the United States. I have links in my webpage with pictures of many of the receipts as proof of provenance. During more than 20 years I befriended many of the artists and collectors, read every book and article I could have my hands on and acquired the knowledge to stand by the authenticity of my collection. I will send you a Certificate of Authenticity issued by my art gallery Art of Cuba and signed by me. It will include the Title of the poster,Year printed and the artist’s name with the image of the actual poster.
