This is the original 1972 movie poster MOCKUP that the artist created to be printed on paper and making the silkscreen posters.
-The mockup or boceto is painted on artistic board and provides the original artwork for a Cuban poster.This is a unique piece of poster history.
-Mockup measures 6.5x10 inches.
-The reverse of the mockup has the artist Bachs signed, the title of the movie it was made for and also the instructions to the printmaker of what colors and how many to use them as well as where to place the title. In many cases the letters were magazine cut outs just to show were the designer wanted the title but in other cases the artists will draw their own lettering as part of their artwork.

This original poster belongs to a collection that was started by my husband’s grandmother in 1973 and it was brought by us to the Unites States from 1998 to 2012 in small batches, due to Cuban and U.S government restrictions on importing or exporting art from the island. Each batch was processed by the Cuban government entity Registro Nacional de Bienes Culturales de la República de Cuba that dates from 1998 to 2012 under my name and my husband’s name as permits to take the posters to the United States. I have links in my webpage with pictures of many of the receipts as proof of provenance. During more than 20 years I befriended many of the artists and collectors, read every book and article I could have my hands on and acquired the knowledge to stand by the authenticity of my collection. I will send you a Certificate of Authenticity issued by my art gallery Art of Cuba and signed by me. It will include the Title of the poster,Year printed and the artist’s name with the image of the actual poster.
